How do I create a font asset on the platform?
Import an OTF or TTF font as an Asset. This will create a Font Asset. https://fonts.google.com/ has Open Source fonts you can use.
After using the step above, you can turn it into a 3D model asset by right-clicking > Clone to Model.
Then, in that newly-created “font model” you right-click > Create > Shape > Text Shape.
Then, in the Properties panel, assign the Font Asset to the original font file.
Or to create an extruded version. You can turn it into a 3D model asset by right-clicking > Clone to Model (not shown in the screenshot below).
Then, in that newly-created “font model” you right-click > Create > Shape > Text Shape.
Then, in the Properties panel, assign the Font Asset to the original font file (this will create a new Text Shape).
Then, right-click the newly-created Text Shape > Create > Mesh >Extruded Shape.
Then, in the Properties panel, assign the Text Shape to the Shape property.
The text will appear extruded.
